What to Expect

Your tour leader will greet you with a smile near the entrance to the first tasting location (hope you come ready to eat). Once everyone is checked in, you’ll have an opportunity to get to know your fellow tour guests during one of our favorite moments…the introduction circle.

The guide will then take you on a 2.5 hour excursion through the capitol and cultural neighborhood hosting Boise’s emerging culinary scene as you visit several of our favorite dining spots in this section of the downtown corridor.

During and between tastings, we’ll stroll through the main streets and alleyways of our growing downtown and enjoy a glimpse into its early days as Idaho’s territorial capital, our unique ethnic heritage and displays celebrating Boise’s investment in public art. Our enthusiastic, local tour leaders share their knowledge and recommendations of architectural gems, local lore, legend, exciting local attractions, and restaurants.

Have questions? Here’s the most frequently asked.

Do I need to purchase tickets in advance?
Tickets must be purchased in advance as tours frequently sell out quickly. To increase your chances of getting the day, time, and number of tickets you prefer, please book your tour as far in advance as possible. Tickets can be purchased either online via our website with Visa/AMEX/MasterCard or by calling (208) 515-3439. Cash and/or walk-up reservations are not accepted on the day of the tours.
What should I bring with me?
You should bring with you a camera and a small bottle of water. When it's really hot out, we recommend an application of sunscreen on exposed parts of the body, a visor/hat and a lightweight pair of sunglasses. During the cooler seasons it's important to wear an extra layer of clothing and consider bringing gloves and a scarf. If it looks like rain we can provide you with a plastic rain poncho or umbrella.
What if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?
Please provide any dietary restrictions (i.e. vegetarian, vegan, diabetic, allergy, etc.) when you purchase your tour ticket(s). If we know in advance, we will work with the restaurants and try our best to make the appropriate substitutions whenever possible, though not guaranteed.
Is there parking available?
Yes, there is a mix of metered, surface and garage parking conveniently located near the meeting points for all of our tour experiences. Visit the Map and Compare Section for detailed arrival instructions to the meeting point location(s). Specific parking details are included in reminder emails sent out prior to each tour experience.
