Booking & Tickets
How do I book an Indulge Boise food tour?
Book online anytime at indulgeboise.com using the “See Dates” or “Book Now” button, which opens our live calendar. You can also book by phone at (208) 515-3439. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and AMEX. Tickets must be purchased in advance — we don’t accept cash or walk-ups on the day of the tour.
How far in advance should I book?
Book as early as possible. Our small-group tours cap at 12 guests and frequently sell out, especially on weekends and holidays. Booking at least one to two weeks ahead gives you the best choice of date, time, and group size. Last-minute spots sometimes open, so it’s always worth checking the live calendar.
How much do the tours cost?
Most Indulge Boise tours are $139 per adult. Pricing by tour: Downtown Boise Brunch & Arts and Capital City Culinary & Cultural are $139; BoDo Savor and Sip is $149; the Boise River Urban Wine Trail Tour is $175; and the Tater Tour de Boise bicycle tour is $179. Prices exclude Idaho sales tax and FareHarbor fees. Prices are subject to change.
Is a Boise food tour worth it?
Yes — most guests find one tour replaces a full meal and introduces them to four or more local restaurants they’d never have found alone. Every tasting, tax, and vendor tip is included in your ticket price, and a local guide shares Boise’s history, art, and culture along the way. We’re the #1-rated food and drink experience in Boise on Tripadvisor.
Do I need to buy tickets in advance?
Yes. Tickets must be purchased in advance because tours sell out quickly and each restaurant prepares your tastings ahead of time. You can book online with a credit card or by calling (208) 515-3439. We do not accept cash payments or walk-up reservations on the day of the tour.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
Please review our full Return Policy at indulgeboise.com/return-policy for current cancellation terms and notice windows. For date changes or questions about an existing booking, contact us at (208) 515-3439 or info@indulgeboise.com and our team will help you reschedule whenever possible.
Can I get on a waiting list if a tour is sold out?
Yes, customers are invited to sign up to be notified when a seat for a fully-booked activity becomes available. Additionally, if a date is sold out we sometimes add an additional tour that day. Email info@indulgeboise.com with the date you want and your group size. We’ll reach out if a spot opens or if we add a tour to meet demand.
On the Tour
What exactly happens on a food tour?
You’ll meet your local guide 15 minutes before start time, then walk a short, flat route (often under one mile) to four or more partner restaurants for tastings. Between stops, your guide shares stories about Boise’s history, architecture, and food scene. Tours last about 2 to 3.75 hours and blend eating, walking, and local storytelling.
How long are the tours and how much walking is involved?
Tours run 2 to 3.75 hours depending on the experience. Walking routes are short and flat — typically a half-mile to about 1.5 miles — with at least two sit-down stops. Most reasonably active guests handle them comfortably, though you should expect to be standing or walking for much of the tour.
How many food stops are there and how much food is served?
Most tours include four or more tasting stops at local restaurants. Together they add up to roughly a full meal — most guests don’t need lunch or dinner afterward. We recommend a light snack beforehand rather than arriving completely empty, since tastings are spread across the length of the tour.
Where do the tours start and end?
Each tour has a specific meeting point shared in your confirmation email after booking. Tours don’t always end where they begin, but end points are usually within easy walking distance of the start. Detailed arrival and parking directions are included in the reminder email sent before your tour.
Is parking available near the meeting point?
Yes. A mix of metered street, surface lot, and garage parking is available near every meeting point. Your pre-tour reminder email includes specific parking guidance for your tour, and the Compare Tours page at indulgeboise.com/compare lists arrival details for each meeting location.
Are restrooms available during the tour?
Yes. Restrooms are available at most tasting locations along the route, so you’ll have regular opportunities throughout the tour.
What should I bring and wear?
Bring a mobile device (with camera function), a small bottle of water, and comfortable walking shoes. In summer, add sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and an umbrella. In cooler months, dress in layers and consider gloves and a scarf. Tours run rain, snow, or shine — we have a limited supply of ponchos and umbrellas if the weather turns.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Tours run rain, snow, or shine, so check the forecast and dress accordingly. During inclement weather we arrange to move stops indoors wherever possible, and we keep a limited supply of ponchos and umbrellas on hand. Jackets and umbrellas are recommended in fall and winter.
Food, Drinks & Dietary Needs
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions or allergies?
Yes, when we know in advance. Enter any restrictions — vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, allergies — in the notes when you book, or call us. We’ll coordinate with the restaurants to make substitutions whenever possible, though we can’t guarantee every accommodation. Please tell us about serious allergies directly so we can plan safely.
Is alcohol included on the tours?
Most Indulge Boise tours include a drink tasting, and several offer optional alcoholic beverage samples at two to three stops. The Boise River Urban Wine Trail Tour centers on expert-led wine tastings. Water is available at many stops, but we suggest bringing a bottle to stay hydrated, especially in warm weather.
Are the tours suitable for non-drinkers?
Yes. Alcohol samples are optional, and non-alcoholic alternatives are part of the experience. The tours are built around food, history, and culture, so guests who don’t drink still enjoy the full experience. Let your guide know your preference and they’ll make sure you’re taken care of.
Are the tours good for solo travelers?
Absolutely. Solo guests are common on our tours, and the small-group format makes it easy to meet fellow travelers and locals. Your guide makes sure everyone feels included, and many solo guests tell us the shared tastings and conversation are a highlight.
Group Size, Ages & Accessibility
How big are the groups?
Our public tours are small — capped at 12 guests — so you get a personal experience and real conversation with your guide. Larger parties can book a private tour for groups beyond that size.
Are the tours kid-friendly? Can I bring children?
Children are welcome, though the content is designed for adults. Many kids enjoy trying new foods and learning about the city. Because tours run 2 to 3.75 hours with significant walking and standing, parents should decide if the length suits their child. For dedicated family or school groups, ask about a customized private tour.
Do you offer discounts for children, seniors, or infants?
Most Indulge Boise food tour offers a child/youth price of ~$99 for ages 12 and under. We don’t offer senior discounts, and most tours are single adult pricing. Infants and very young children who won’t be tasting don’t need a ticket — just note their attendance and age when booking.
Are the tours wheelchair and stroller accessible?
Most tour routes and stops are wheelchair- and stroller-friendly. Please tell us in advance so we can confirm accommodations for your specific tour. For guests who are hearing impaired, a written script of the guide’s narration is available on request.
Can I take photos on the tour?
Yes — we love it when guests photograph their food and the experience. Feel free to share your photos and tag us on social media; we enjoy reposting guest moments.
Which Cities & Tours
What cities do you offer food tours in?
We currently run tours in Downtown Boise, the BoDo and Greenbelt area, Garden City (the Boise River Urban Wine Trail), and Historic Downtown Caldwell. Our tours celebrate the culinary and cultural treasures across Idaho’s Treasure Valley. Check the Tours page at indulgeboise.com/tours for the full, current lineup and live availability.
Which tour is best for first-time visitors?
First-time visitors love the Downtown Boise Brunch & Arts Tour and the Capital City Culinary & Cultural Tour, which pair iconic Boise restaurants with the city’s history, art, and architecture. If wine is your focus, choose the Boise River Urban Wine Trail Tour in Garden City. Visitors should take a tour early in their trip to discover spots worth revisiting.
Do locals take these tours too?
Yes — many of our guests are Treasure Valley locals. Locals join to discover hidden-gem restaurants in their own city, meet chefs and makers, and show visiting friends and family a memorable time. Our tours are designed so both residents and visitors discover something new about Idaho’s food scene.
