INDULGE BOISE LAUNCHES “PINK INDULGENCE” TO SUPPORT NATIONAL BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

–Portion of proceeds will be donated to Mountain States Tumor Institute–

BOISE, ID – Indulge Boise Food Tours will help raise awareness and funds in the fight against breast cancer during the company’s 1st Annual Pink Indulgence Month launched in support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Indulge Boise has partnered with the St. Luke’s Health Foundation via Mountain States Tumor Institute’s (MSTI) Breast Care Services Centers, a Treasure Valley-based non-profit organization whose services include screening and diagnostic mammography, genetic counseling, comprehensive breast cancer treatment, and survivorship support.

Pink Indulgence Month will take place throughout October. During the month, Indulge Boise will help raise awareness about breast cancer by distributing information pamphlets to tour guests and will treat cancer survivors to an Indulge Boise culinary experience. At the conclusion of Pink Indulgence Month, Indulge Boise will donate a portion of the proceeds from all sales to the Breast Care Services Center.

“Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a chance to focus on the importance of early detection of breast cancer, and we’re grateful to have community partners like Indulge Boise to help us raise awareness and funds to support education and research,” said Maegan Krahn, St. Luke’s Foundation’s Special Events Coordinator. “Breast cancer is the second-most-common kind of cancer in women. About one in eight women born today in the United States will get breast cancer at some point. The good news is that many women can survive breast cancer if it’s found and treated early.”

“Indulge Boise is proud to team up with St. Luke’s Health Foundation and  Mountain States Tumor Institute as part of our Pink Indulgence Month programming in support of the National Breast Cancer Awareness platform focused on raising funds and awareness to help women everywhere fight and survive this disease,” Angela Taylor, Indulge Boise Owner & Chief Indulge Officer said. “We urge locals and visitors to show your support during Pink Indulgence Month. The money we raise together will have a huge impact in saving lives and ensuring that the list of breast cancer survivors continues to grow.”
